How to login
- Go to http://10.1.1.1/ in your web browser and it should prompt you to login.
- The default username is admin
- The default password is admin
How to add PPPoA connection
Click on Run wizardChoose the timezone and hit next
Choose PPPoA/PPPoE and hit next
Enter your username and password. VPI = 0, VCI=100 and connection type=PPPoA VC-Mux, hit next
Click on restart, the modem will restart.

the STATUS light is supposed to flash and that is normal. This router is very common, is a single port and USB router. Fairly stable

7647kbps SYNCH ISSUE: In NZ on ISAMs with Interleaving on, the modem locks at 7645 Actual speed, with a much higher Attainable speed. Fix is to remove interleaving. Or upgrade the firmware version. I understand that the firmware listed on the Telecom Xtra site, is not the most recent.
POWER ISSUE: Some of the D-link routers have a reasonable number of fault returns. Seems to be a power issue where it just dies. Just call D-Link helpdesk and organise a return under warranty
SECURITY ISSUE with older versions of firmware, admin interface was accessible from the Internet - Ensure you upgrade the firmware NOTE: According to their helpdesk, the most common issue by far, is people downloading firmware for US, or overseas.
FIRMWARE ISSUE: Earlier versions of firmware seemed to have some issues with stability possibly the ITEX issue with the Alcatel DSLAMs. - Newer versions of firmware seem more stable.
SLOW ACTUAL SPEED ISSUE - For most versions of the NZ firmware, due to the NZ interleaving depth, these modems will sunch at a speed of 7547kbps, (And some reports of synch rates of 7570kbps or 8082kbps). Fix is to upgrade firmware. Or get your ISP to remove interleaving, though this may make the modem less stable.
ETHERNET STABILITY ISSUE While not confirmed, when I installed firmware V3.00B01T01.TX.20051120 (From 2005) I found that the link between my XP PC and the Dlink router, dropped numerous occasions, with the same eth cable and the more recent firmware, I did not have this ever, also a different modem with the same cable did not have the same symptom.
