Fairly good, common, cheap routers, with a decent amount of features. (Note DSL200 is very poor) Xtra have put a customised interface onto some of the D-link routers, but still fine to setup for any ISP.D-Link DSL-504 - ADSLGeek Comments
the STATUS light is supposed to flash and that is normal. This router is very common, and comes with 4 port ethernet hub. Fairly stable

POWER ISSUE: Some of the D-link routers have a reasonable number of fault returns. Seems to be a power issue where it just dies. Just call D-Link helpdesk and organise a return under warranty SECURITY ISSUE with older versions of firmware, admin interface was accessible from the Internet - Ensure you upgrade the firmware STABILITY ISSUE with ITEX mode settings on all versions of firmware, is only an issue with the Alcatel DSLAMs (called an ASAM) just upgrade the firmware. Note According to their helpdesk, the most common issue by far, is people downloading firmware for US, or overseas. FIRMWARE ISSUE: Earlier versions of firmware seemed to have some issues with stability possibly the ITEX issue with the Alcatel DSLAMs. - Newer versions of firmware seem more stable. SLOW ACTUAL SPEED ISSUE - For most versions of the NZ firmware, due to the NZ interleaving depth, these modems will sunch at a speed of 7547kbps, (And some reports of synch rates of 7570kbps or 8082kbps). Fix is to upgrade firmware. Or get your ISP to remove interleaving, though this may make the modem less stable.
